Mascara is a cosmetic
used to darken, lighten, color,
thicken or lengthen the eyelashes.

Wearing
mascara should not be a difficult
task as many product packages have
been redesigned for easier application
than before. Today, we’ll
take you through the art of wearing
mascara and the different techniques
to acquire the look you so long
for.

First,
apply a thin coat. Let it dry and then build
up with a second coat of mascara. When applying
mascara to the lower lashes, gently brush
the tip of the applicator across them. Always
allow the first coat to dry before applying
the second. At the end comb to separate
the hairs and to remove the excess mascara. |
STEP-BY-STEP
INSTRUCTIONS
- Apply any eye shadow
or eye liner first.
- Place the curler as
close to the lashline as you can get...
without pinching your eyelid. Walk the
curler down your lashes as you pump...
so you don't get a harsh bend.
- Start by applying
the wand to the base of your outer lash.
Draw the wand gently up to the tips.
Repeat this step... moving to the middle
and inner lash. For
the lucky girls with thick and long
lashes, one coat will probably do. For
gals with thin and short lashes, let
the first coat dry and go for that second
coat.
The Finishing Touches
- Finish by applying
one coat to your bottom lashes. This
really opens up your eyes. If your lashes
are super short, skip the bottom lash.
- Gently use a mascara
comb to de-clump.
- Use your fingernails
to remove any bags of mascara that have
collected onto the tips of your lashes.
- Use a cotton swab with
a drop of makeup remover to clean up
any smudge
